What Is Airless Painting?

Airless painting uses a high-pressure pump — between 150 and 250 bar — to force paint through a precision tip directly onto the surface, without any compressed air in the mix. The result is a continuous, dense coat with no overspray bubbles and no lap marks, even on heavily textured or porous surfaces.

Our team uses professional Graco and Titan machines on all facade work and on large interior projects, allowing us to cover up to 150 m² per day with two painters — and achieve a finish that consistently outperforms roller work.

Airless vs. Roller

Compare the results — and decide with data, not guesswork

Aspect Airless Roller
Speed 150 m²/day with 2 painters 50–60 m²/day with 2 painters
Uniformity Seamless finish — no lap marks or roller texture Can leave roller marks and uneven thickness
Coats required 1–2 coats (denser per coat) 2–3 coats for similar coverage
Textured surfaces Penetrates all surface relief evenly Difficult to achieve full coverage on texture
Final cost Lower — fewer working days required Higher — more coats, more labour days

Satisfied Customers

Benidorm Apartment — 2-Bed Interior
"We've been in our Benidorm apartment for eight years and the walls really showed their age. CostaPintura arrived, covered everything properly — the sofa, the floors, everything — and finished the entire flat in one day. The finish is incredibly smooth, far better than the last painters we used. And the price was exactly what they quoted. No surprises."

Jávea Villa — 2-Storey Facade
"Our villa hadn't been painted outside in years and the walls were quite dirty from the salty air. They sent two people, used the Kärcher to clean everything first, then the airless machine. The whole facade was done in two days. My wife was especially pleased because there was no mess left — they cleaned up completely before leaving."

Denia Villa — Exterior Facade
"I hired CostaPintura to refresh my villa's exterior in Denia. Very professional — pressure wash first, then airless painting. The result is excellent. I barely speak Spanish but the team communicated in English, which made everything much easier. Clear pricing, no stress."

Airless Painting — FAQ

What exactly is airless painting?

Airless painting uses a high-pressure pump (150–250 bar) to force paint through a precision tip without mixing in any air. The result is a dense, even coat that covers surfaces more thoroughly than a roller — with no overspray bubbles and no lap marks.

Is airless suitable for my type of property?

Yes, for almost all properties. The airless system works on smooth render, textured monocapa, silicone finishes and rough stone. For facade work it is always our first choice. For occupied interiors we assess on a case-by-case basis.

Can you use airless inside the house?

Yes. For larger interiors (100 m²+), empty properties or commercial premises we use airless indoors. For smaller occupied apartments we typically use roller to minimise noise and overspray risk. Results are excellent either way.

How do you protect the surroundings?

Thorough masking is essential with airless work. We cover all windows, doors, floors, plants and any nearby vehicles before we start. Our teams are experienced at this — it is part of every quoted job.

How much faster is airless vs roller?

Two to three times faster. A 200 m² facade that would take 4–5 days with a roller is done in 1–2 days with airless. This means less disruption to you and a lower final cost.

Is the price different if you use roller instead of airless?

Our quote reflects the result, not the method. If roller is more appropriate for certain areas (edges, fine detail work) we combine both at no extra charge. You always get the best possible finish at the stated price.
